Jury

Dr. Lynne Beal is an International Judge and a Provincial Race Officer.  She has participated on the International Jury for the Pan American Games, the ISAF World Championships, the ISAF Youth Championships, and various World, Western Hemisphere, North American and national championships.  She has extensive experience in on-the-water judging of Rule 42, propulsion.  She is the Chairman of the Canadian Yachting Association Appeals Committee, a member of the ISAF International Judges Subcommittee, the CYA Judges Committee, and Past-Chairman of the Ontario Sailing Judges Committee.  She has taught courses on judging and given rules seminars for over 15 years.  As a Psychologist she brings together technical expertise with interpersonal skill development and team building to enable sailors to become experts at their sport.

Barbara Farquhar  IJ IU

Barbara’s ports of call include St. Petersburg Fl and Marion MA.  She is the former Vice President of US SAILING and chairperson of the US SAILING Judges subcommittee.  She has been actively involved in ISAF Judges and Umpire subcommittee and is a current member of ISAF Review board and is an ISAF Instructor fo the Judges program. She races Sonars and H-12s

Charlotte GroppeCharlotte Greppe is a Senior consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, chief of out patient clinic and day surgery. Teaching medical students and training younger doctors, mainly in emergency care and surgery.

Raced double handed dinghies internationally in the 80's, winner of 10 national championships helming. International Judge and Umpire since 1993. Umpired or judged more than a 200 international events from dinghies to AC-boats. Member of several organizing committees such as the Swedish Match cup in Marstrand and event manager for the 505 Worlds '91. Rules coach and team doctor for the Swedish Olympic sailing team in '00 - '08.

Founder of the Goteborg Women sailing club in '86. Ex board member of the Swedish Sailing Federation, and retired chair of the Rules, appeals and judges committee. Ex board member of the Royal Goteborg Yacht Club. Still member of both Racing Rules committees.

International events '09: Miami Olympic classes regatta USA, Mirror Worlds GBR, Santa Maria Cup USA, Swedish Match Cup SWE, Melges Worlds USA, Rolex Int Women Keelboat USA.

Ruth MillerRuth Miller, who moved from Chicago to the USVI in 1994  was educated at the University of Michigan and The John Marshall Law School in Chicago where she practiced law for several years.  She was a Professor of Law at Northwestern University prior to moving to St. Thomas where she practices civil law.
She has sailed extensively in both Lake Michigan and the Caribbean in Keel boats and is a US Sailing small boat instructor.


She has been a Judge and an umpire in multiple national and international events in the past several years, man of which she was the chief judge.
She is an active member of the St. Thomas Yacht Club and is a delegate to the Caribbean Sailing Association.

Rick Sullivan grew up sailing in Rochester and attended college at Georgetown University where he participated in college sailing and subsequently coached the sailing team from 1974--76. After sailing in Annapolis for 8 years he moved back to Rochester where he Competed in the Soling and Sonar classes, attending several national and international regattas  . He is a member of the Rochester Yacht Club, where he has headed up the sailing program with a special interest in High School, College Sailing   and Team racing. He is a US Sailing Senior Judge and has been active in Umpiring both Match   and Team Racing events since 2006.
